Mit Soul Makossa importierte Manu Dibango 1972 Tanz-Rhythmen aus Kamerun in die amerikanische Popmusik.
As an audio engineer/sound guy and musician, I hear a lot of great music and some good music. This recording is my all time ,overall favorite, its a collection of the greatest performances ever caught on tape. Performances so good that even the horrible tape (splicing block) edits could not fuck it up. Its all about the musicians and their performances, and so, all of you new school DAW edit to the grid and fix it with melodyne can shove it straight up your asses. this is music! DAW’s and melodyne are awesome tools to have but lets not forget that old truth known as, the good rule, good musicians, good instruments good performance = good sound.
