Vinylrausch XX – Der Hippie-Rausch
I can’t seem to face up to the facts
I‘m tense and nervous and I can’t relax
I was sayin' let me out of here
before I was even born
A love affair with Nina in the back of my Cortina,
a seasoned-up hyena couldn't have been more obscener
We gotta send Santa Claus back to the Rescue Mission
Christmas don't make it no more
I must confess, I feel like Gena might
Upon her opening night
All the good music has already been written
by people with wigs and stuff.
"There must be some way out of here" said the joker to the thief
"There's too much confusion", I can't get no relief
You're just like crosstown traffic
So hard to get through to you
The night I was born I swear the moon turned a fire red
Well my poor mother cried out "lord, the gypsy was right!"
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on
Who is the man that would risk his neck
For his brother man?
I mean, the war is over. They won.
And 99% of what passes for rock'n'roll these days silence is more compelling.
There's no need to hide
Taking things the easy way
If I stay inside
I might live til Saturday
Show biz kids making movies
Of themselves you know they
Don't give a fuck about anybody else
On the hopes of a tyrant
No one makes it over
You're a ghost la la la la la la la la la
And I'm the bishop and I've come
To claim you with my iron drum
So he took some earth and put it in a form,
and the oven was right now - so the gipsy was born!
